FAQ

LivDigital Shopping makes use of a secure and safe payment gateway (or payment processing service ) called Virtual Card Services (VCS). The only method of payment is by South African credit card or EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) through this payment gateway.

What is VCS?

VCS was established in 1996 to offer a solution to the mail order market which found conventional methods of securing large volumes of credit card payment cumbersome and costly. With more than 50 years' collective experience in developing and implementing credit, debit and smartcard processing systems for all of the major card issuers in South Africa, Virtual Card Services was quick to identify the niche presented in providing a solution which exactly meets these needs.

Hints and tips when shopping online.

Always make use of a secure computer i.e. not an internet café. Make use of anti-virus and security software that is up-to-date. Make use of sites you know and that offer a secure payment gateway that uses SSL (secure socket layers). Never respond to emails asking for your payment information or open an attachment in such mails.
